Im Heather Joy Ballew and im a pole vaulter. Ive been working as hard as i can to reach the next level in this sport. Ive never really had problems being “the best” at what i do, untill i tried this sport. Ive been working since 7th grade. I train year round and my life pretty much is sleep, pole vault, go to church, eat, then pole vault some more. To get a scholarship would mean the world. To put all your heart and soul into something and then be rewarded from it would just make me break down to tears of joy. My family is my rock they do all they can to help me do everything i want to try, but i have 3 brothers and 3 sisters and for me to get a scholarship would be a major help to them and my younger siblings. Im very passionate about this and i want it more than words can really express.
so there it is! thanks for your time

I have been playing volleyball for as long as I can remember. I absolutely love the sport. I have trained and trained for hours on end and just want to get to that next level. This would mean the world to me to get recruited at a good school. I train year round and spend so much time, energy, and money on this passion and I would love for this to pay off for me. My family has been nothing but support for me, and they would get just as much reward out of this as me.

Hello. My name is Tiffany Brown and I joined Prepchamps.com back in November 2008. Being a member of Prepchamps.com has really opened my eyes to what is possible with the right type of exposure. My site is set up for softball since that is my number 1 sport. I have played fast pitch softball for 11 years and I have won several awards and honors athletically and academically over the years, but I am still trying to get to the next level, so I push myself to do better every day!
This school year (2008-2009), I became the first known athlete at my high school (Catoosa High School, Catoosa, OK) to become a 4 sport varsity letterman. I lettered in varsity softball, basketball, golf and soccer. The last two years, I lettered in three sports each year (softball, basketball & golf). I picked up soccer this school year because my high school team had encountered some injuries and were about to be forced to cancel their season. The head coach knew that I was a versatile athlete so he asked me to step in as their starting left midfielder. I had not played soccer in since the 7th grade, so I was a little rusty. I would go to my golf practice, then head straight to soccer practice. I knew that my school needed me, so I pushed myself to make it happen. I completed the season, scored a goal, lettered in my fourth sport and made some closer friendships.
Even though I was extremely active with the different sports this year, I managed to maintain a 3.9 GPA (3.833 Cumulative GPA). I take my grades very seriously. I have been in advanced classes for a few years now. This last year I waived an elective and took Pre-Calculus and Algebra 3 while taking Chemistry and AP English. I managed to make all A’s in every subject (except History, I made an 89).
My junior year was very busy and I learned the importance of time management. While playing sports & keeping up with my grades, I was also a member of the Student Council, the yearbook staff, the Pi-Lingual Advanced Math Club, the Johnson O’Malley Indian Program and the Gang Green Spirit Club. Academically, I am a 3 year member of the National Honor Society, a 2 year member of the Oklahoma Honor Society (top 10% of my entire school), a member of the National Society of High School Scholars, a certified member of the Oklahoma Girls State 09 sponsored by the American Legion Auxiliary, received the Congressional Student Leadership Award, was nominated for Youth Leadership Oklahoma and was also invited to attend the National Youth Leadership Forum for Medicine.
I know that my parents can not afford to pay for my college education, so I have been working very hard to make sure that I can qualify for any possible scholarships (athletic, academic or private). Being a “Featured Athlete” on Prepchamps.com for an entire month would really help promote my work ethic and willingness to push myself for the collegiate level. I know that I have the desire, commitment, work ethic, academic and athletic ability to succeed in college; I just need the right exposure. This opportunity could be the catalyst of making it happen!

My name is Ryan Burnett from Richmond, VA., I currently attend Hermitage High School. It would truly mean everything to me and my Mom if I would be the featured Athlete on PrepChamps. I am 16 years old and as far back as I could remember all I ever wanted for my Birthday and Christmas was a basketball. I have always had a desire to play ball. I have been playing AAU ball since I was 8 years old and my mother who is my only parent has devoted most of her free time and weekends to help me continue to fulfilling my dream of one day becoming a student athlete in College. Next to going to school everyday and getting good grades I see to it that I am on the court each and very day. I keep working hard because it is my dream and I always want to be able to play basketball, maybe one day I will be able to help other kids with the same passion and desire as me. I want you to know that my Mother gives me all the support in the world, and I have learn my discipline from her.
To achieve my dream of playing College ball and possibly going to the NBA, would not only be gratifying for me but also for my mom. I do appreciate this opportunity you have given me.

It would truly mean everything to me and my family if i woud be a featured on prepchamps. I am a very very hard worker and i love playing basketball. My name is Jared Malcolm and i am from Whitby, Ontario, Canada. I have commited my whole life to basketball, all the training, working out, conditioning, i just want to believe that it will all pay off. I take basketball very seriously only thing is i live in canada so i dont have that much exposure. I have been dreaming of becoming a student athlete in division 1 ncaa basketball but its time i stop dreaming and start living my dream, all i need is that one shot, that one opportunity to prove to myself and the rest of the world why i can make it in basketball. I am devoted and extremely passionate about basketball, i feel as if it is my first love thats why i know some day all the hard work i put into basketball will somehow pay off. Im 6′4 and 170 pounds but im not done growing yet i averaged 22 points and 11 rebounds as well as 3 blocks and 2 steals per game. All i need is that one college coach to give me a chance to play for him, and trust that i wont let him down because i most definately wont. I just have to make it, basketball is in my veins i can feel it. JUST ONE SHOT!?
