John Weaver from the Baltimore Sun recently wrote an interesting article about fall lacrosse recruiting and what he learned about this by talking to some coaches at the National Recruiting Lacrosse Tournament at St. Paul’s School. Fall lacrosse tournaments and camps have recently evolved from instructional camps designed to help athletes improve their skills to an important aspect of the recruiting processe for lacrosse athletes and college coaches.
Here are a few interesting facts from the article:
- D1 coaches are only allowed to attend these tournaments in November
- There is no time period for DIII coaches
- Only two coaches from the same staff are allowed to recruit or attend the fall tournaments on the same day
Check out the article for more details about the fall lacrosse recruiting period. If you’re an athlete who has stumbled upon this article, we encourage you to set up a FREE profile on PrepChamps and put up your stats, pictures and highlights to increase your chances of getting noticed.
