Nation’s Longest HS Football Win Streaks Snapped
The South Panella Tigers (Mississippi) had their 89-game win streak snapped on Friday. Less than 24 hours later, Maryville (Tennessee), the new holders of the longest active winning streak (74 games), suffered a loss as well.
Barry Sanders, Jr. Touchdown Run
Check the video below for an amazing run by Barry Sanders, Jr. (son of the NFL great), who scores on a 54-yard reverse. Sanders is just a freshman at Heritage Hall High School.

Star Mississippi RB Dies From Gunshot Wound
Very sad story here. At a routine traffic stop on Monday, 17-year old running back Billie Joe Johnson shot and killed himself. It is not yet clear if the shooting was a suicide or accidental. Johnson’s high school football coach, Al Jones, described Johnson as “the best pure athlete to come through (his program)” in his 23 years of coaching.
