More Details Emerge About Bakersfield Christian Player’s Death
Sad story here. Would-be-junior Patrick Allen collapsed at home last week after practicing in 100+ degree heat. According to the coroner, the autopsy wasn’t conclusive about whether his death was heat-related. While sports are never 100% safe, it’s very important to stay hydrated and eat right to prepare for practices in hot weather.

Debate Rages Over Texas Steroid Testing Progam
Texas, which has the country’s largest and most-expensive program for testing high school football players for steroids, is actually testing for less than one-third of of the substances it prohibits. 36 banned substances are on the list, but the program only tests for 10.
