Top Football Teams in Kentucky Prepare for Showdown

Rivals Trinity (Louisville) and St. Xavier (Louisville) are coming into their game Friday at Papa John’s Cardinal Stadium undefeated and ranked No. 1 and No. 2 in the state. This is an important game and big rivalry, and about 35,000 fans are expected for the game.

Jones Sets Iowa Passing Record

Washington (Cherokee) quarterback Tyler Jones became the first Iowa high school quarterback to surpass 8,000 yards in career passing yards in a 40-27 defeat of Goldfield (Clarion) on Friday.

SEBA Atlanta All-Star Shootout Recap

Trinity (Euless, Texas) sits at the #1 spot in SI’s High School Football Power Rankings, which is SI’s version of a Top 25. However, in the recent USA Today Super 25, Trinity is second, while Byrnes (Duncan, SC) is #1.

USBA Fall Showcase Events in October

The United States Basketball Association is holding a few showcase events this month for basketball playeres who are looking for exposure, evaluations and challenging competition. The events will be held in cities such as Myrtle Beach, SC; Atlanta, GA; Charlotte, NC; and Orlando and Jacksonville, FL. Check out the USBA Hoops website for more information.
