6′10″ basketball prospect Ryan Kelly recently made an official visit to Vanderbilt, and he’s scheduled to visit Wake Forest, Notre Dame and Georgetown this month. Kelly is also interested in UNC and Duke, who recently offered him a scholarship.

From USA Today: According to the National Federation of State High School Associations, a record 7,429,381 students — nearly 55% of all high schoolers — played high school athletics in 2007-08. This was the 19th straight year that the number of students participating in sports has increased.
