This is the first edition of our high school sports and recruiting weekly digest, which is meant to highlight some of the biggest and most interesting stories each week in high school sports. Tony Chenault Commits to Wake Forest
The 6′2″ guard from Philadelphia has committed to play for Wake Forest after he graduates in 2010. Chenault plays for Nuemann-Goretti and is a PG who can score and dish.
ESPN Releases Preseason High School Football Regional Rankings
ESPN released its preseason rankings for the top 20 high school football teams across five regions. It will continue to put out weekly rankings each week of the regular season and playoffs starting on Labor Day weekend.
Ryan Kelly Narrows List to 6
The 6′10″ versatile big man from Raleigh, NC (Ravenscroft High School) has narrowed his list of college choices to six schools. He’s ranked 4th at his position (power forward) in the class of 2009, and had a nice showing at the Reebok Summer Championships recently.
