Naismith Boys High School Basketball Player of the Year Watch List

The list of ten players to watch for the Naismith High School Basketball Player of the Year Award was recently announced. The players who are on the list include:

Derrick Favors
Renardo Sidney
John Henson
Xavier Henry
John Wall
Avery Bradley
Kenny Boynton
DeMarcus Cousins
Lance Stephenson
Abdul Gaddy

In February, the list will be narrowed down to five players, with the winner being selected at the end of the high school basketball season.

What’s interesting about this list is that all of these players have participated in Reebok Basketball grassroots events and tournaments, such as the Reebok Summer Championships, which PrepChamps is involved with. We’re proud to be involved with blue-chip tournaments such as these. While these players certainly don’t need our help in getting their name out to college coaches, our goal is to help the other 90% of athletes who may have the skills, but are not able to attend big-time tournaments or just need a little help getting recognized.
