(PRWEB) PrepChamps, Inc. and Elite Combines LLC announced a strategic partnership today to showcase high school athletes to college coaches and scouts by launching a series of PrepChamps Elite Combines.
The efforts of the two companies, PrepChamps, Inc headquartered near Raleigh, NC, and Elite Combines, located near Nashville, TN, will be to conduct NFL style football combines for the best-of-the-best from high schools throughout the nation. At these events, regional high school athletes will perform a variety of core strength and agility drills, and will also compete in position-specific activities and scoring. All results will be recorded, certified, and made available to coaches and scouts looking for scholarship athletes.
“Our goal at PrepChamps in partnering with Elite Combines is to give athletes around the country the opportunity to showcase their skills to top-tier collegiate-level coaches and scouts,” said PrepChamps CEO Dean Bundschu.
Athletes will participate in the 40-yard dash, 185-pound bench press, long jump, vertical leap, pro-agility and l-cone drills. Each player will be weighed and their height and reach measured. Nearly 600 participants from across the country are expected to attend.
Elite Combines, LLC brings extensive combine experience, having placed high school athletes into elite programs throughout the country. Founded by Kevin Fitzgerald, a former strength and conditioning coach for collegiate powerhouses like Florida State and Notre Dame, the combination of Elite Combines and PrepChamps will yield nothing less than a win-win situation for high school athletes.
“My son just received a letter from Princeton for an interest in football and academics,” said one parent after their high school athlete attended a recent combine from Elite Combines, adding, “This is his 1st letter from a college interested in him playing football for them … and he’s only in 10th grade.”
PrepChamps Elite Combines will host its first combine of the season Saturday June 9th in Greenville, SC, and then another on Saturday, June 16th in Southlake, TX, part of the greater Dallas metropolitan area. Other combine locations in 2007 include Columbus; Chattanooga and Nashville, TN; and Baltimore.
After each combine, the companies will produce individual combine videos for each athlete who will have a free player profile posted on www.PrepChamps.com with their combine video and highlight reel. This will allow all athletes, coaches and fans from around the country to view the videos at no charge.
Media outlets are invited and encouraged to attend these events. For athlete registration forms or more information contact Kevin Fitzgerald at (615) 497-1563.
