Thomas Robinson improved his stock dramatically …

Day three of this year’s annual Reebok All-American Camp was one filled with superb action on the basketball court. Excitement filled the air throughout the gymnasium all day long and night, as each of the campers took part in camp games.

Each of the players’ faces were filled with tremendous excitement, as they waited to take the floor in front of hundreds of college coaches that waited in the stands, in anticipation of the up and coming game. As the games took place, intensity was at an all time high on the basketball court. Players competed at a high level in each games until the final buzzer sounded in the late evening.

Florida’s super backcourt duo of Kenny Boynton and Brandon Knight captivated the rather large audience of college coaches and fans with their play. The two backcourt mates combined to put on a show for the spectators. They truely proved to be America’s #1 backcourt after shooting and penetrating their way through the competition.

Renardo Sidney showed up as advertised putting on a very impressive performance in his two games of the day. He showed off extreme versatility, athleticism and playmaking skills, qualities that make him our top overall prospect in the camp. As Sidney continues to improve his work ethic, he will see tremendous continued improvement in his overall play.

Another prospect that will definitely see a dramatic rise in his college recruitment, after a stellar performance on Tuesday was the very talented 6-foot-8, 215 pound senior forward Thomas Robinson. Robinson electrified the crowd in attendance Tuesday with some rim-rattling dunks off putback attempts. His strong physique and ability to rebound and run the floor make him a very unique prospect nationally.

Reebok All-American Camp Top Performers

Avery Bradley 6-3 SR Tacoma, WA 2009

While his backcourt mate Gaddy struggled on the day’s action, Bradley turned in a very good performance slashing through the lane and scoring effectively, as he often does, in transition. Also shot the ball well from the perimeter, which is the key to his success on the floor. Big time player that always seems to get it done, regardless of the competition.

Karron Johnson 6-7 SR Richmond, Virginia 2009

- Johnson was another bright spot for the day on Tuesday as he displayed loads of athleticism around the basket. His athletic gifts combined with his athleticism and size make him very attractive. Advised us that he is currently hearing from a number of schools, including Memphis, Virginia, Seton Hall, Miami, Georgetown and UCONN, and that he will decide on a school in the fall. He currently carries a 2.3 CUM GPA.

La’Quinton Ross 6-9 SOPH Jackson, MS 2011

- Ross is among the elite overall prospects in America’s 2011 class, and it showed why Tuesday as Ross displayed a superb handle of the ball for his size and very crafty guard-like skills. He is very long and rangy and is capable of making plays many players cannot as a result of his length and athleticism. Just possesses a great feel for the game.

Raphiael Putney 6-8 Woodbridge, VA 2009

- Putney was one of the surprises from the first day of action as many had yet to see him perform. Possessing one of the more longer physical frames I have seen in sometime, Putney shares a resemblance to former NBA star DeMarr Johnson. While his body is extremely thin, he is very active and a high-wire act when slashing and in transition. Great upside.

Aaric Murray 6-10 Philadelphia, PA 2009

- Murray is a big time low post prospect that already has a college ready body. He runs the floor very well and also showed some guard skills Tuesday in transition. He also has a great feel on the floor and makes players around him better. A very active post player.

Clarence Trent 6-8 N. Little Rock, AR 2009

- Trent is a big time athlete with a great body but has very little feel for the game. Is at his best when attacking the rim and making plays around the basket, but gets caught at times with bad shot selection and poor decisions that can lead to selfish play. Either way, he is a talent and will only get better as he continues to learn the game.

Quincy Acy 6-8 SR Balch Springs, TX Post Graduate

- Acy is a big time athlete as well that plays with a high level of intensity on both ends of the floor. Very strong physical frame allows him to defend bigger players, and he also has the quickness and agility to defend on the perimeter as well.

Jason West 6-6 SR Woodbridge, VA 2009

- Very athletic wing player that plays much bigger than he is as a result of his length and athleticism. Attacks the rim on every chancehe gets and finishes very strong. Great finisher and open court player.

Dominique O’Connor 5-10 Los Angeles, CA 2009

- Very good floor general and playmaker. Knows how to make the offense run and he is also a good scorer from the point position.

Sherrod Wright 6-4 Mt. Vernon, New York 2009

- Wright is a very good shooter with size that also is athletic enough to finish strong around the basket and make plays in transition. Plays with a high level of intensity and enjoys playing the game.

Brandon Triche 6-3 Dewitt, NY 2009

Good sized guard is capable of playing both guard positions on the floor. Very good shooter and handler that also makes good decisions with the ball in his hands and does not turn the ball over often. Very crafty with a good basketball IQ.
