With audience and attendance numbers at all-time lows, the folks at the NBA’s front offices have to be lovin’ Rudy Gay from the Memphis Grizzlies and YouTube. Either that, or the marketing department had one heck of a brainstorming session to come up with (great post here by Dave B. from Notes From the Digital Frontier) a sort of Slam Dunk-Off in prep for the NBA’s Slam Dunk Contest.
With the full notion being that Rudy Gay will take the number 1 slam dunk video and perform the same dunk as his first dunk of the night at the official NBA Slam Dunk Contest, the video and profile on YouTube (RudyGay22SlamDunk) is getting fantastic results and promoting the NBA at the same time. Nice work, Rudy.
