Athletes, coaches, parents and fans will receive a free TokBox account when they activate their membership on PrepChamps.com.
Raleigh/Durham, NC – January 30, 2009 – TokBox, a free service that allows people to talk with their friends through live video chat, is partnering with the premier online recruiting community for high school sports to help athletes, coaches and recruiters communicate more effectively throughout the recruiting process.
“Our partnership with Tokbox will enable our users to communicate in a more efficient manner, while providing them with another fun interactive tool,” said Jeremy Rohrs, Director of Basketball Operations for PrepChamps.
PrepChamps will add ToxBox’s unique video messaging platform to its existing text messaging system to give coaches and recruiters a more interactive method of communicating with athletes. Each member will receive a free TokBox account upon activating a PrepChamps account, and will then be able to send, receive and forward video messages within the PrepChamps environment.
“We’re excited that now college athletes and sports fans can send video mail to each other on PrepChamps thanks to the integration of TokBox, a free online video chat and video mail service,” said Diedre Caldbeck, Vice President of Business Development for TokBox.
In less than a year, PrepChamps has helped almost 70,000 high school athletes, coaches, fans and parents in 34 sports connect through its free online community. Athletes from all sports are finding success in communicating with coaches from schools in all divisions.
